BITOLA - WINNER OF SWISS TOURISM AWARDS 2009, THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS RECOGNITION IN TOURISM INDUSTRY DESTINATIONS!!!

The Swiss Tourism Awards are tourist recognitions that are assigned every year during the Swiss International Holiday Exhibition, the prestigious tourism fair that takes place from year 2003 in Lugano. This Event, so called the climax of the tourism week, is reaching, year after year, more and more success.

These prestigious recognitions promote high level tourism, protect and set countries’ natural and cultural heritage, encourage competitiveness and excellence in standards of service and present to the public coming from all over the world destinations that distinguish themselves for special merits and are worthy of being represented and hosted in Lugano.

We are proud that our city of Bitola has been declared as winner tourist destination for 2009.

The Mayor of Municipality of Bitola, Mr. Vladimir Taleski, at Gala evening organized by the Official Committee of the Swiss Tourism Awards will receive a precious honorific silver plate that symbolizes the hospitality of the city of Lugano, commemorating the participation to the Swiss International Holiday Exhibition and underling the value and the vocation to tourism of Bitola. This event will be held in Lugano, 30 October, 2009 at the presence of the official delegations of different awarded cities, of highest authorities of Lugano and of the Italian and Swiss television and press.

Furthermore, our Municipality will participate at the Swiss International Holiday Exhibition (www.iviaggiatori.org) in Lugano, 29/30/31 October - 1 November, 2009 and get the opportunity to present our tourism potentialities and beauties to the rest of the world and initiate business relationships with tourism stakeholders all over the world.
